José email
New Loan Officer

EDF would like to introduce you to the newest member of our growing team, José E. Santamaria.  He will be responsible for all business development in the Southwest and Mid-Michigan markets for the Economic Development Foundation.  Based on the great things happening in Michigan, EDF believes there is not a better time to help businesses expand and/or refinance current debt into 20-year low fixed rates!

He brings over 25 years of banking and real estate finance experience to the Economic Development Foundation. He received his MBA and BBA in Finance, as well as a BA in Spanish, from Western Michigan University.  As president of a community bank in Kalamazoo County, he oversaw all sales and business development functions. Mr. Santamaria's lending focus has been small business and commercial real estate.   Additionally, Mr. Santamaria worked as Chief Financial Officer for a real estate development / construction / management company, and as a Business Financial Consultant negotiating contracts, leases, legal documents, and the preparation / presentation of real estate financial analysis, as well as appraisal and environmental issues. Because of his vast experience, Mr. Santamaria possesses a keen awareness of economic, financial, and real estate market trends.
