In this issue: Reagan Marketing + Design, LLC andHappy New Year!

Reagan Marketing

Mary Reagan Shapton, the founder of Reagan Marketing + Design, decided to rehab a blighted former print shop building in Grand Rapids Reagan Marketing Personto house her company.  The 20-year-old company had rented space for 18 years, and needed to decide between signing another long-term lease and reorganize space, or looking for something new.  The timing and the real estate market made it attractive to buy a building.

Historically, the facility had been three separate buildings that served as a print shop, dairy, and gas station that were later connected, but had been mostly vacant for a decade.

Reagan Marketing Inside

The 0.8-acre brownfield project secured full federal and state historic preservation credits and used the SBA 504 program for 10% equity financing.

EDF partnered with Sue Rankin, Vice President of Commercial Lending, Founders Bank & Trust, on the 504 transaction. "We are pleased that Reagan was able to have a vision for this run-down property and turn it into the neighborhood jewel that it is today using this financing program!" stated Sandy Bloem, Executive Director
